Special Olympics Advertising


Walt: Create an advertisment persuading people to go to the Special Olympics here in Palmerston North. I uesd MS Publisher to create this poste. To make my poster stand out and grab the readers attention I uesd bold letters and colours. I found getting the pictures on to my poster challenging because I kept saving them in the wrong place. Something I enjoyed was using lots of colours because I could make my poster stand out. Something interesting I learnt about advertising was you have to make it very clear and colourful.

WALT: Follow an inquiry process.This term as we have been learning about China, we have continued building on the inquiry skills we learnt in Term 2. We brainstorm open questions as a class and then delegated these out to pairs. The part of China Jacob and I were finding out more about was Clothing in China . We found our information by triangulating the information. We used a data chart to make sure our information was correct. We then used Movie Maker to present our information. Something I enjoyed was being in a movie . An interesting fact I found was that China have simaler style clothing to us . My next learning step inquiry is to use my time better.

This term as we have been learning about China, we have continued building on the inquiry skills we learnt on term 2. We brainstormed open questions as a class and then delegated these out in pairs. The part of China Jacob and I were finding out about was clothing. We found our infomation easily and fast. We used a data chart to make sure we triangulated our infomation so we new it was true. We then used movie maker to present our our inquiry. Something I enjoyed was making our movie. An interesting fact I found was that China dominate in clothing brands because of their cheap prices. My next step for inquiry is to be more organise.

Pikikids

During Week 1, we had a variety of learning experiences to tune us into ideas about
our new big question for this term -how are cultures and traditions expressed through
dance? We had a performance for Boys High Pacifica group, a performance from St Peters Pacifica group and a drumming workshop. I enjoyed St peters dancing the most
because I got to dance in front of my freinds. Something new I learnt was that many cultures are expressed through dance

This voicethread explains what I have learnt about the Short Tailed Bat. Something I think I did really well was that I stayed on task. Next time I do an inquiry I could improve on puting my infomation down more neatly. The part I liked best was the CreateIt stuff because it was realy interesting on how many sites there were about this animal.
